Apollo Laser Systems

About Apollo Lasers

From 2006 until discontinuation, Apollo Lasers produced class 4 therapy lasers that were considered a standard for professional use. Their systems featured aerospace-quality aluminum construction and were manufactured in the USA with ISO 13485 certification.

Apollo offered systems ranging from 500mW trigger point probes up to 5,000mW (5W) quad-beam emitters, all operating at 810nm wavelength. The company is no longer in operation, and factory support is unavailable.

Power Range 500mW–5W

Product Lines

Apollo produced two main system types with interchangeable probes.

Emitter Specifications

Apollo used GaAlAs semiconductor laser diodes at 810nm across all emitters.

5000-C Quad-Beam 5,000mW Total

4 × 1,250mW emitters. 300 joules/min delivery. Largest treatment area coverage.

4000-C Quad-Beam 4,000mW Total

4 × 1,000mW emitters. 240 joules/min delivery.

3000-C Quad-Beam 3,000mW Total

4 × 750mW emitters. 180 joules/min delivery.

500-S Single-Beam 500mW

Single emitter for trigger points and small areas. 167.4 J/cm² per minute—highest density option.

Original Features

Considerations for Used Buyers

No Factory Support

Apollo Lasers is no longer in business. Parts, repairs, and technical support are unavailable from the original manufacturer.

Diode Lifespan Unknown

Used units may have significant hours on the diodes. The built-in probe tester can help verify output, but overall remaining lifespan is difficult to assess.

Single Wavelength Only

All Apollo systems operate at 810nm only. No multi-wavelength options compared to newer systems.

Continuous Wave Only

No pulsing options. Modern research suggests pulsing benefits for many conditions.

Battery Degradation (Portable)

NiMH batteries in portable units will have degraded over time. Replacement batteries may be difficult to source.

Related: LZR7 System

The LZR7 Class IV Laser was a rebranded version of the Apollo desktop unit sold by a different distributor at higher prices (was ~$10,400). It used identical design and emitters, spec'd slightly higher at 5.1W. The LZR7 has also been discontinued.
