Apollo Laser Systems
Class 4 therapy lasers (discontinued)
Important Notice
Apollo Lasers is no longer manufacturing laser systems. ColdLasers.org does not sell new Apollo units. This page is provided for historical reference—for existing owners or those researching the used market.
About Apollo Lasers
From 2006 until discontinuation, Apollo Lasers produced class 4 therapy lasers that were considered a standard for professional use. Their systems featured aerospace-quality aluminum construction and were manufactured in the USA with ISO 13485 certification.
Apollo offered systems ranging from 500mW trigger point probes up to 5,000mW (5W) quad-beam emitters, all operating at 810nm wavelength. The company is no longer in operation, and factory support is unavailable.
Product Lines
Apollo produced two main system types with interchangeable probes.
Apollo Desktop
Was ~$4,600+
Two independent channels for treating large and small areas. Choice of 5000mW, 4000mW, 3000mW quad-beam or 500mW single-beam emitters.

Apollo Portable
Was ~$5,177+
Battery-powered with NiMH rechargeable cells. Interchangeable 3000mW and 500mW probes. Ideal for mobile practitioners.
View Portable Details →Emitter Specifications
Apollo used GaAlAs semiconductor laser diodes at 810nm across all emitters.
4 × 1,250mW emitters. 300 joules/min delivery. Largest treatment area coverage.
4 × 1,000mW emitters. 240 joules/min delivery.
4 × 750mW emitters. 180 joules/min delivery.
Single emitter for trigger points and small areas. 167.4 J/cm² per minute—highest density option.
Original Features
Showed probe status and treatment times. User-selectable times from 10 seconds to 2 minutes.
Allowed users to confirm actual output of probes—useful feature for verifying diode health.

Considerations for Used Buyers
Apollo Lasers is no longer in business. Parts, repairs, and technical support are unavailable from the original manufacturer.
Used units may have significant hours on the diodes. The built-in probe tester can help verify output, but overall remaining lifespan is difficult to assess.
All Apollo systems operate at 810nm only. No multi-wavelength options compared to newer systems.
No pulsing options. Modern research suggests pulsing benefits for many conditions.
NiMH batteries in portable units will have degraded over time. Replacement batteries may be difficult to source.

Related: LZR7 System
The LZR7 Class IV Laser was a rebranded version of the Apollo desktop unit sold by a different distributor at higher prices (was ~$10,400). It used identical design and emitters, spec'd slightly higher at 5.1W. The LZR7 has also been discontinued.
