Apollo Desktop
Dual-channel class 4 therapy laser (discontinued)
Important Notice
Apollo Lasers is no longer manufacturing laser systems. ColdLasers.org does not sell new Apollo Desktop units. This page is provided for historical reference—for existing owners or those researching the used market.
About the Apollo Desktop
The Apollo Desktop was a dual-channel class 4 cold laser system capable of operating two emitters simultaneously. Emitters ranged from a 500mW point probe for trigger points up to a 5,000mW quad-cluster for large treatment areas.
Known for its simplicity, the system required only setting treatment duration—typically a 2-minute default. At its original price point, it delivered one of the best power-to-cost ratios in the continuous wave therapy laser market.
Available Configurations
The Apollo Desktop was sold in four configurations based on emitter power. All included the same controller unit.
| Model | Output | Type | Energy | Best For | Price (Was) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Desktop 5000 | 5,000mW 4 × 1,250mW |
Quad Cluster | 300 J/min | Large areas, deep tissue | ~$6,999 |
| Desktop 4000 | 4,000mW 4 × 1,000mW |
Quad Cluster | 240 J/min | Joints, muscular issues | ~$5,999 |
| Desktop 3000 | 3,000mW 4 × 750mW |
Quad Cluster | 180 J/min | General therapy, versatile | ~$4,602 |
| Desktop 500 | 500mW Single emitter |
Point Probe | 167.4 J/cm²/min | Acupuncture, trigger points | ~$3,995 |

Considerations for Used Buyers
Apollo Lasers is no longer in business. Parts, repairs, and technical support are unavailable from the original manufacturer.
Used units may have significant hours on the diodes. Use the built-in probe tester to verify output before purchasing.
No pulsing capability. Modern research suggests pulsed modes offer benefits for many conditions.
810nm only—no multi-wavelength options available.
NiMH batteries degrade over time. Used units may have reduced battery life or require replacement.
