The RG500i was a budget-friendly Class 3B veterinary laser designed specifically for use on companion pets and horses. It was not FDA-cleared and was marketed exclusively for animal use.

At its original price point of $1,495, it offered features typically found in systems costing $10,000+, including programmable pulsing frequencies, continuous wave output, and a separate controller with backlit display.

Dual Wavelength Design

810nm infrared laser surrounded by 6 red (635nm) LEDs—similar configuration to higher-end systems like TerraQuant, Apollo, Chattanooga, and Thor.

CW + Pulsed Output

Both continuous wave and programmable pulsing modes. Research shows pulsing produces superior results in most cases except nervous system conditions.

Ergonomic Emitter

Button-shaped emitter designed to fit in the palm, making it easy to stroke an animal during therapy and point away from their face.

Recessed Diode Safety

Laser diode recessed inside a cone and surrounded by LEDs. This design reduced risk of eye damage if an animal made an abrupt motion during treatment.

Protocol Library Included
