Why doesn’t the Laserex 3000 require FDA clearance?
The Laserex 3000 Acu is sold exclusively for veterinary use, and as such, it is not subject to FDA clearance requirements for human therapeutic devices. It is commonly used by animal care professionals and researchers for acupuncture and localized treatment applications where precision and portability are key.

What’s the difference between the 3-diode cluster model and the single-diode Acu version?
The Acu model uses a single 150mW 808nm diode for pinpoint treatments—ideal for acupuncture points, auricular therapy, and very small or precise areas. In contrast, the 3-diode cluster model delivers 450mW total (3 × 150mW) across a broader beam area, making it better suited for larger treatment zones like joints, muscle groups, and general veterinary pain or inflammation. Both use the same core system and interface, but the treatment heads are optimized for different clinical needs.
